In a perfect life, vampire diaries would exist with Bonnie being the main character (a good girl done right bc in my humble opinion she was way more relatable than Elena) with Stefonnie being a romantic couple.
Honestly, I’ve always wanted to do a series rewrite with Bonnie as the main character or even just as an AU of BTvS or Charmed with Bonnie as the main lead. I think it would make so much sense because Bonnie was the heroine of the show anyway, even if the writers and some of the fandom still choose not to acknowledge it.
They had to break their necks to keep Elena relevant and always tie the plot to her even when it served no purpose, screwed with continuity, and made very little sense. Then on the other side we had them going out of their way to exclude Bonnie from stories she would have naturally fit into or should’ve been at the epicenter of considering the way her family and history were tied to so many characters and so many characters had standing relationships, alliances, and enemies in witches. Even Bonnie’s ending made very little sense in the context of the character and I still don’t understand why they had Caroline of all people end up running a magical school.
Anyway, in terms of Stefonnie, I’ve done more than one analysis regarding their development in season one and the way it got scraped mid season due to Caroline being turned. I won’t go in depth there again, I’ll just say as a general statement with the Salvatore having a history with Emily, Stefan having a history with Sheila, and Damon being supposedly tasked with protecting the Bennett line, a lot of the writing surrounding Bonnie and the Salvatore was illogical and lazy from the start. They had so much to build from and we got next to nothing and yet we had to see doppelgangers fall in love with every iteration of each other one billion times as if it was something new or that we even cared about. Same thing with the Originals, they had established history with Bonnie’s family, Esther channeling the Bennett line, Klaus having a literal witch posse upon arrival, Elijah aligning with Jonas and Luka, and the list goes on and yet none of them expressed an interest in Bonnie, make it make sense.
I would definitely love to explore a series rewrite but, a) I don’t have the time, b) I have too many stories as it is and some in the works, and c) I don’t have the patience to do a rewatch, which would mean it would more than likely be an AU as opposed to a rewrite. Still anon, I am forever bitter about Bonnie’s treatment and Bonnie’s potential pairings, Stefonnie is one at the top of my list along with Klonnie, and Tonnie, and many others. You have no idea.
Kids shouldn’t have access to smart phones or tablets until they’re at least 12.
This 4 year old is fucking crying and screaming bloody murder in the office because his mom was keeping him occupied with YouTube but her phone died. Idk man I’m not a parent but I feel like letting him bring some toys or something and not making him that dependent on YouTube would do some good.
